Social

Art Direction: Robert Smallwood

Led creative direction and hands-on execution for a series of quick-turn social campaigns supporting Warner Bros. theatrical and awards-season titles. As Art Director and Creative Lead, I developed multicultural social assets for major blockbuster IP including Companion, F1, and Weapons, creating platform-native work designed to move quickly, connect with diverse audiences, and extend each film’s campaign conversation across social.

I also supported FYC campaign efforts for titles including One Battle After Another, Weapons, and Sinners, helping translate awards positioning into sharp, social-first creative that maintained premium film marketing standards while meeting fast turnaround demands.

WEAPONS

Art Direction: Robert Smallwood | Editor : Tanner Vonnahme

Created three Instagram social reels for Weapons under an extremely limited media buy, working with less than ten seconds of approved footage and no plot context due to the directors’ strict spoiler guardrails. Each reel needed to feel distinct, engaging, and campaign-ready while protecting the mystery of the film, which made the creative challenge especially exciting.

With only brief clips to work from, I developed three separate social concepts that leaned into tone, tension, and atmosphere rather than story reveals. I was also brought onto the FYC campaign for Amy Madigan’s supporting actress push, extending the film’s social presence into awards-season creative with the same premium, suspense-driven approach.

F1

Art Direction: Robert Smallwood | Editor : Tanner Vonnahme

Created three quick-turn social assets for F1 in support of Warner Bros.’ multicultural campaign team, developing fast-paced edits designed to capture the speed, energy, and adrenaline of Formula One racing. With a tight turnaround, the creative needed to feel immediate, exciting, and platform-ready while helping the campaign connect with diverse audiences across social.

The work leaned into sharp pacing, dynamic motion, and the visceral excitement of the sport, turning limited production time into high-impact social content that amplified the film’s scale and racing intensity.

Companion

Art Direction: Robert Smallwood | Editor : Tanner Vonnahme

Created three distinct social videos for Companion in support of Warner Bros.’ multicultural campaign team, each designed to initially feel like a romantic comedy before gradually revealing a darker, more sinister undertone. The creative played with familiar rom-com visual language, pacing, and emotional cues, then subtly disrupted them to hint that something was deeply wrong beneath the surface.

The series allowed each asset to stand on its own while building a connected sense of unease, helping position the film as both accessible and unsettling for multicultural social audiences.

Worked on the launch campaign for Mortal Kombat 1, supporting a major AAA title through character reveals, fan update content, and highly detailed social creative. Partnering closely with the developers, I helped align each asset with the game’s visual world and franchise expectations while bringing my own creative perspective to the execution. The work balanced precision, lore, and spectacle to keep fans informed, engaged, and excited throughout the rollout.

Animality ESPN launch

Creative directed a broadcast trailer placement for Mortal Kombat 1 during ESPN’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Bears and Rams. The spot was designed to bring the intensity, scale, and cinematic brutality of the game into a major live-sports moment, connecting the adrenaline of NFL primetime with the energy of the Mortal Kombat franchise.

As Creative Director, I helped shape the pacing, tone, and visual approach to make the placement feel explosive, premium, and event-worthy while staying true to the game’s world and fan expectations.

Ghost Face Trailer Launch

Creative directed the YouTube launch trailer for Ghostface in Mortal Kombat 1, helping introduce one of horror’s most iconic characters into the brutal world of the franchise. The trailer was built to feel like an event reveal, balancing slasher-film tension with the speed, impact, and spectacle fans expect from Mortal Kombat.

As Creative Director, I helped shape the pacing, tone, and visual approach to make the launch feel cinematic, surprising, and true to both Ghostface’s legacy and the energy of the game.

Ink Portraits

Lead the direction for created a series of Mortal Kombat 1 ink portrait illustrations as a stylized way to introduce new playable characters while honoring the franchise’s martial arts roots and ancient mythology. Inspired by traditional ink techniques and Eastern iconography, the portraits blended elegance, brutality, and mysticism to give each fighter a distinct visual identity. The creative helped frame character reveals as both premium artwork and world-building pieces that felt authentic to the legacy and tone of Mortal Kombat.

Fortnite Crossover Announcement

Creative directed a viral TikTok announcement for the Mortal Kombat and Fortnite crossover, introducing some of the franchise’s most iconic characters through a fast-paced, platform-native social video. Designed to tap into the excitement of both gaming communities, the asset blended the intensity and iconography of Mortal Kombat with the playful energy and cultural reach of Fortnite.

The creative focused on making the collaboration feel unexpected, shareable, and event-driven, helping turn the partnership announcement into a social-first moment for fans across both franchises.
