Riot Games
Social
During my time with Riot Games, I served as an Art Director on the AOR account for Teamfight Tactics, developing social and digital creative for one of gaming’s most engaged fan communities. The work focused on narrative-driven assets that translated gameplay, character moments, and community culture into social-first content built for interaction and engagement.
I helped shape campaign visuals and fan-facing concepts that felt native to the Riot audience: smart, playful, lore-aware, and designed to spark conversation. That experience later helped me win new business as a Creative Director for 2XKO, Riot’s upcoming fighting game, where I helped develop launch concepts that introduced a new title while staying connected to Riot’s larger world of competitive play, character storytelling, and fan energy.
For Teamfight Tactics, we created a series of animated GIFs designed specifically for engagement and giveaway moments on X. Starting from static assets, we added motion to bring the visuals to life in a lightweight, social-friendly format that could quickly grab attention in-feed.
These GIFs helped extend the campaign beyond standard posts, giving the fan base fun, interactive content that supported community participation while staying true to Riot’s visual style and the energy of the game.

For Teamfight Tactics, I worked on a high-volume, low-budget social account that required fast, strategic creative built for an active fan base. We developed narrative-driven static and motion poster assets that supported the evolving storyline of the game as new chapters, updates, and versions rolled out.
By leaning into Riot’s distinct design language and world-building, we created fun, bite-sized content that felt authentic to the game while keeping fans engaged across platforms like X and Instagram. The work balanced speed, consistency, and storytelling, turning limited resources into a steady stream of social-first creative.

For the Teamfight Tactics: Remix Rumble campaign, we designed a series of Instagram static assets inspired by music festival posters. The visual approach helped bring the campaign’s music-driven world to life, turning champions, traits, and in-game moments into bold, poster-style creative that felt collectible and social-first.
By leaning into the energy of festival lineups, vibrant typography, and Riot’s distinct visual language, the assets helped roll out Remix Rumble in a way that felt fresh, playful, and connected to the theme of the set. The result was bite-sized social content that supported the campaign narrative while giving fans highly shareable visuals built for Instagram.
2XKO Role Out
Creative Director: Robert Smallwood
Building on my previous experience with Riot’s Teamfight Tactics account, I was able to help win new business for 2XKO, Riot’s upcoming fighting game. My familiarity with Riot’s audience, visual language, and approach to character-driven storytelling helped shape a rollout that felt authentic to the brand while introducing a new title to fans.
The project included video and static assets designed to explain the gameplay, introduce character lore, and build excitement around the launch. By combining clear educational content with Riot’s high-energy visual style, we created a campaign that helped onboard new players while giving existing fans a deeper connection to the world and characters of 2XKO.

For 2XKO, I developed a series of infographic-style graphics designed to explain the game’s core mechanics in a clear, visually engaging way. Using Riot’s internal style guide as a foundation, I found creative ways to translate gameplay systems into social-friendly educational assets that still felt fully embedded in the game’s unique art style.
The goal was to make the mechanics easy to understand without stripping away the energy, personality, and visual language of 2XKO. The result was a set of graphics that helped onboard players while maintaining the bold, character-driven look Riot fans expect.
